Tibetan Dawn

These Chak-pur have been handcrafted in brass and are designed with the idea of being portable. They are easy to dismantle, coming in two halves – a funnel and a screw-on base. The chakpur bases are easily interchangeable with the funnel.

The set comprises of 1 funnel, 5 screw-on bases and a metal tool.

Each of the 5 screw-on bases has a different size hole allowing a different width of sand to be released. When the metal tool is grated against the funnel it creates a vibration and allows the sand to trickle from the opening. The funnel has a 1 inch opening to allow sand to be scooped into the instrument.

Each base is approximately 10 inches long extending to 18 inches when joined to the funnel.
