25.06.07: Will the sun ever shine!
Well we have started the Festival season with disappointing weather, finding ourselves stranded on our stall drenched and cold on more that one occasion!
We have received news that the weather has been so bad that the Saul Canal Festival this weekend has been cancelled – due to the River Frome bursting its banks. Apparently it has flooded the adjacent fields that were earmarked for camping and car parking. We are really disappointed as we enjoyed this festival last year.
Well let’s hope it’s a sunny weekend, so that we can be at Chepstow Racecourse Sunday market instead!
We have managed to update our website over the last couple of months with new stock. We commissioned some lovely bags to be made up in a small workshop in Delhi. They took such care and pride over their work that it was a joy to work with them. We have also had a new range of clothing produced for this years stall, much of it made from or using recycled sari’s. The great thing is that our customers have been pleased with it, sometimes returning the following day to buy another! Thank you for supporting us
We would just like to remind you that our ethos is to not only to trade fairly in India, but also in the UK. We have paid a fair price for our stock, but kept our costs and prices as low as we can. Please help us by continuing to support us and if you‘ve been happy with our service, please recommend us to others.
