• 5.11.08: Green Packaging!
  

  We have made a concerted attempt this year to “go greener” with our packaging. We never sell our items gift boxed and we are currently trying not to use new bubble wrap envelopes unnecessarily, unless the order needs to be protected in the mail.

  More and more often this year we have found ourselves trying to send out parcels using recycled boxes & recycled plastic bags where needed. If we haven’t got a recycled box to fit an item, then we have resorted to making up a suitable posting box out of clean reusable cardboard. So don’t be surprised if your statue, singing bowl or art work turns up in one of our home-made cartons!

  With other items you may find your order sent out in brown paper and a clean recycled bag to protect it from the rain. Often the plastic bags are simply form our t-shirts or re-used from other stock items which have been sold on our festival stall. We will also reuse bubble wrap and polystyrene packing chips from deliveries that we have had. Having said all that, we do have to admit that we haven’t found a green alternative to packing tape yet!

  We have enjoyed the year again and meeting some of you on our stall over the summer. You can still find us doing a couple of pre-Christmas indoor stalls this year at the following venues:

  1st & 2nd of November – Cardiff Natural Health Show, Cardiff University Students Union in Cardiff.

  30th November – The Waterfront Museum’s Green Fayre in Swansea.

  13th-14th December – Tredegar House, Newport (from 1.30pm).
  18th-19th December – Tredegar House, Newport (from 5.30pm).
  20th-21th December – Tredegar House, Newport (from 1.30pm).
